Thank You! Thank You!

Last week was one of the hectic weeks we had. Imagine, after having our school-based Sci-Camp a new activity followed: STEP.

There were lots of contests and everyone's given a chance to join any of those. As for me, I have no other choice but to join Mr. & Ms. STEP 2011 and its not because I wanted to but because I wanted to help.

From what I remember, Mary, the STEP president in our class, announced about the activity weeks before. She asked our classmates on which contest they will register. From the look on her face, you can say that she's frustrated since only few were acknowledging her. I approached her and asked if there's something I can do to help which made her eyes gleam.

"Walang mag-Mr. and Ms. STEP." I'm not sure if those were her exact words. And because I offered assisstance, I asked the class who wanted to participate but it seems that no one is interested. Mary frowned.

"Ako na lang kay murag wala man jud." I said. I don't know why I said that but those words made her smile. Ta-da! I became the representative in Ms. STEP.

Earlier, maybe 10 AM, I called my father to ask what time they are going to come. Instead, he told me that he'll fetch Nanay and will go straight to school. I felt relieved then agreed to eat lunch with Bea and company. While we were eating, I kept glancing at the gate to see if Tatay and Nanay arrived.

WORRIED. That's how you will describe my face. The contest proper was supposed to start at 1:30 yet they haven't arrived. I left my phone and as I tried to contact them, no one's answering. For the nth time, Nanay finally pick up.

"Asa na mo, Nay?"
"Lapit na 'mi. Nganu man? Nagsugod na?"
"Ahw. Hehehehe.Wala pa man pero hapit na. Asa na mo banda?"
"..."
"Nay?"
"..."
"Ok po. Sige Nay, ba-bye."

"Asa na man daw sila, Ai?" Bea asked. I shrugged. "Ambot. Wala na man ko kadungog. Hahahaha."
"Grabe Airish oh, maskin kahilakun na, makatawa gyapon." *Smiles*

Finally, they came. As they entered the school premises, I ran following them ignoring the rain drenching me. They made it and I didn't cry, hurray! xDD

After the program, I swear, if my feet could talk, it would say, "Grabe pud noh? Wala lang man jud nagpalingkod sa inyo kung wala giingnan. Bug-at baya ka." XD

Though I didn't won as Ms. STEP, I'm still thankful for what I had achieved that day. And as what Kuya said,

"Bahala matalo basta nag-enjoy."
